Türkiye Puts US$750 Million Behind Climate-Resilient Agrifood
The World Bank Group announced a US$750 million package for Türkiye on 24 September 2026 to strengthen agrifood value chains, expand investment and improve rural employment. The programme is expected to reach about 225,000 farmers.
The financing structure includes a US$720 million reimbursable financing facility and a US$30 million partial credit guarantee. It is expected to mobilise about US$670 million in private capital and support around 110,000 additional or better-paid jobs.
Investments will cover cold chains, storage, processing, digital systems and climate-smart agricultural technologies. The programme is designed to reduce food losses, improve market access and strengthen resilience across agricultural value chains.
