India Adds Capital for 2 GW of Clean Energy Growth
Norfund's Climate Investment Fund announced an investment of up to US$100 million in Indian renewable-energy company AMPIN Energy Transition on 22 September 2026.
The investment is expected to support roughly 2 GW of new solar and wind capacity, backed by energy-storage systems. The planned assets are intended to expand renewable generation and improve the ability to integrate variable clean power into the electricity system.
The transaction adds long-term climate finance to India's utility-scale and commercial renewable-energy pipeline at a time of continued expansion in solar, wind and storage investment.
