Angola Debuts First Public Sustainability Bond

1 min read

Angola's first public sustainability-bond subscription raised Kz57.5 billion, exceeding the initial Kz50 billion offer by 15 percent. The bond subsequently began trading on BODIVA, Angola's debt and securities exchange.

The offer received 454 orders, of which 431 were satisfied. The nominal value was Kz10,000 per bond, widening the potential investor base beyond institutional buyers.

Proceeds are linked to eligible green and social investments under the sustainability framework, giving Angola a new domestic-market instrument for financing environmental and social projects.
