Rural Development Today | Development Connects | Karnataka | PIB case study published 10 October 2026
Tiptur Farmer Producer Company Limited in Tumakuru district, Karnataka, has 750 farmer members and reported a turnover of Rs 1.60 crore for the financial year 2025–26. These figures appear in a Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare backgrounder dated 10 October 2026, published as part of the first-anniversary reporting on the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana.
The ministry reports that the producer company supplies ball copra to a French multinational company. By 12 September 2026, it had aggregated more than 138 tonnes of copra with a reported value exceeding Rs 1.90 crore.
The Rs 1.60 crore turnover and the copra aggregation value refer to different reporting periods: the former is for financial year 2025–26, while the latter is an aggregation total reported up to 12 September 2026. They cannot be combined or directly compared as if they were measures of the same accounting period.
The backgrounder describes market access and pricing benefits but does not provide a comparison of realised farmgate prices, per-member volumes, audited profits, procurement costs or incremental household incomes. The documented quantitative results are 750 members, reported annual turnover and the aggregated copra quantity and value. This is a carryover case study, not an event first reported on 12 October.
