A citizen-run reporting platform, NammaShale, logged more than 1,300 complaints about Karnataka government-school infrastructure by 13 October 2026. It had mapped approximately 48,000 schools. Reports covered damaged classrooms, toilets, drinking-water facilities and unsafe buildings.

By 13 September, the platform had received 607 complaints from 26 districts. One month later, the total exceeded 1,300. According to ThePrint’s 13 October investigation, none had been marked resolved through the platform.

These numbers reflect citizen-submitted reports and the platform’s resolution records; they do not constitute a statewide engineering audit or establish that no repairs occurred outside the platform.
