Hyderabad-based Segritech reported a 30% increase in pomegranate price realisation in a fruit-grading deployment involving approximately 80–100 growers in Bhuj, Gujarat. The figure was reported by YourStory on 13 October 2026 and was attributed to the company; independently verified farm-level prices, quantities sold and net earnings were not published.

The company's sorting equipment uses CMOS and RGB cameras, near-infrared and ultraviolet imaging, and computer-vision models to classify fruit according to visible quality attributes, including scars, sunspots and fungal marks. The founder reported a processing speed of 10–12 fruits per second, throughput of 2–3 tonnes per hour and grading accuracy of 95%. These performance figures are company-reported.

Segritech markets two machine models: Mini Sort at ₹10 lakh plus GST and Fast Sort at ₹20 lakh plus GST. By the reporting date it had completed four deployments for paying customers, including an installation at a Bengaluru warehouse operated by Swiggy Instamart. Commercial grading had been deployed for pomegranates and apples, while an orange-grading pilot was under way.

The startup reported ₹80 lakh in cumulative seed funding. The reported 30% higher price realisation refers to the Bhuj deployment and cannot be generalised to all crops or locations from the published information. The article did not provide a controlled comparison of farmer incomes, machine operating costs, grade-wise auction prices or the distribution of benefits among participating growers.
